Saoirse Ronan Gets Asked for a Date in New 'The Lovely Bones' Clip

Having made quite an impression with her performance as teenage Briony Tallis in "Atonement",
Saoirse Ronan moves on with the role of Susie Salmon in "The Lovely Bones". A closer look at her performance as the murdered girl has been put out through a newly-released clip courtesy of MySpace.
In the one-minute plus clip, Ronan shares screen with Reece Ritchie who plays Susie's love interest named Ray Singh. The particular scene takes a look at the time Ray asks Susie whether she is free on Saturday. When Susie stammers with her answer, Ray tells the teenage girl what he thinks of her, saying that she is beautiful.
The MySpace clip isn't the only new footage released to promote the adaptation of Alice Sebold's best-selling novel. MSN has recently brought forth another clip titled "Are You the Salmon Girl?". This snippet focuses on the encounter between Rose McIver's Lindsey Salmon and Stanley Tucci's George Harvey.
Starring as Susie Salmon, Saoirse Ronan plays a young girl who has been murdered and watches over her family and her killer from heaven. She is joined by Mark Wahlberg and Rachel Weisz who take on the roles of Susie's parents, Susan Sarandon who portrays her grandmother, and Michael Imperioli who plays the police detective in charge of investigating her death. December 11 will be the date "The Lovely Bones" opens wide in U.S. theaters.
