A day after Nicole Richie was reported to have secretly got married to Joel Madden, the rumor has been shot down. According to Gossip Cop, they have got a confirmation from "an impeccable source", who claimed the couple has "not" walked down the aisle.
Radar Online was the first which came up with the news of Nicole Richie and Joel Madden's secret nuptials. At that time, the site reported that the reality TV star and the Good Charlotte's frontman obtained a marriage license sometime last week, while their covert wedding ceremony was held on Wednesday, October 14.
Prior to the wedding news, Nicole was reported to have seriously talked about marriage following the death of her former boyfriend, DJ AM, in August. Two months later, a friend of the Lionel Richie's daughter said that she has proposed to Joel, stating "She asked Joel to marry her, over dinner at home. He was delighted and agreed straight away."
However, Nicole and Joel once admitted that they were not in a rush to get married. The singer then further explained why he and his living partner did not plan to get hitched soon, revealing "We're really focused on our family, and we feel like - we already feel kind of married, you know?" The twosome has had two children, 21-month-old Harlow Winter Kate Madden and 1-month-old James Midnight Madden.
