Though it has been almost a month after interrupted 's award acceptance speech at 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, it is never too late for to discuss about the matter on her talk show. When the country music singer appeared in the Wednesday, October 14 episode of "The Oprah Winfrey Show", the host praised her on how she handled the unpredictable moment on stage.

"That moment, when Kanye come up on the stage and took the microphone, I thought you handle yourself like a true star, like a real woman," Oprah said. Taylor, who seemed blushed after the 55-year-old beauty expressed her opinion, became speechless for a while before saying "Thank you" and then shaking Oprah's hand. Asked if she has accepted Kanye's apology, the singer simply replied, "Yes."

During the interview, Taylor also credited her parents for helping her to become a grounded 19-year-old star. "I feel like being raised by two parents who basically brought me up with the idea that the world didn't owe me anything really helped," she said. "My whole life, I just loved music and I'd see these people on big stages, and I didn't think I could actually do that."

Moreover, Taylor admitted that she enjoys becoming a famous superstar, stating "Nothing in my life now, as far as activities and the way people perceive me, it's not normal and it's a lot different. ... It's better." She further claimed, "I always dreamed about what it would be like if I would walk in somewhere and people already knew my songs, and it's crazy. ... It's amazing to me that it actually happened."
