Leona Lewis 'Badly Shaken' After Being Punched at Book Signing
Famous singer was punched by an unidentified man while she was signing copies of her autobiography, entitled "Dreams", at the Waterstone's Piccadilly Circus bookstore in London on Wednesday, October 14. Her spokesman told BBC that the 24-year-old beauty had been signing autographs for around 90 minutes when "a guy came up and punched her to the side of the head".

Recalling the incident, the spokesman said, "The police were called immediately and medical attention has been sought." Then, he continued, "Leona's understandably badly shaken and apologizes to the fans she was unable to meet and complete signings for."

About the incident, an eyewitness stated, "He [the attacker] walked up there with the book, she signed it and, as she looked up, he just punched her." Later, another eyewitness chimed in, "She was running out with her hand over her eye and I just saw a man on the floor. Suddenly the security all jumped on him and they were trying to pull him out and he was just laughing, he thought it was funny."

Releasing a statement regarding the incident, Waterstone's bookstore said they supported any police investigation and thanked Lewis for her professionalism. Though she didn't need to go to hospital, she was forced to cancel her scheduled appearance on BBC's "The One Show" that night.
