After being involved in a car crash in Beverly Hills on Monday, October 5, 28-year-old beauty Nicole Richie sought medical attention. Lt. Tony Lee of the Beverly Hills Police confirmed to Us Magazine that the actress was riding on her Land Rover when she was rear-ended by a paparazzo, who drove a Jeep Cherokee, at about 2:00 P.M.
"She complained of pain ... Her car sustained moderate damage. No paramedics were called to the scene," Lee continued. "She told officers she was going to seek her own medical treatment, so it's unknown if she's headed to a hospital or not." According to a witness, Richie soon rushed to L.A.'s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center with her mother to be treated for minor injuries.
According to some law enforcement sources who told TMZ, at the time of the crash, Nicole Richie drove along with an adult male passenger in the car, whose condition is still unknown. Fortunately, her two children, Winter Kate Madden and James Midnight Madden Harlow, were not in the car.
As for the writing time, the driver who struck Richie has been arrested and booked for being unlicensed because "officers could not verify his identification." Lt. Tony Lee added, "He's being physically brought into the station. This will likely be a misdemeanor traffic violation, and the photographer's vehicle will be towed."
