Following ' announcement that she will perform in a concert in Malaysia on October 25, some parties have voiced their protests at the upcoming gig. Most recently, some Muslim students who joined The National Union of Malaysian Islamic Students (PKPIM) urged authorities to ban the singer from performing in their country because they doubt Beyonce will adhere to the country's strict dress code.

"We doubt whether she will obey the 15.2 and 15.3 codes set by the Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission while performing," the group secretary, Khairul Anuar Musa, said in a statement. Previously, Sabki Yusof of the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party has criticized Beyonce's upcoming gig in the Muslim-majority country, saying that the organization would send a protest note to the government about the concert.

Back in November 2007, Beyonce Knowles was actually scheduled to perform in Malaysia. After being told that the government rules stipulate female artists to cover their bodies from shoulders to knees, the "If I Were a Boy" songstress decided to call off her concert, citing scheduling conflict as the reason for the cancellation. However, report said the 28-year-old beauty refused to cover up during her gig. Instead, she chose to perform in Indonesia, where rules governing stage performances are less strict.
