Taylor Swift Accepts Kanye West's Apology for 2009 MTV VMAs Outburst

has accepted 's apology for interrupting her award acceptance speech during 2009 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, September 13. After delivering public apology for three times, the rapper finally called her on Tuesday, September 15, following her musical appearance on "The View".

Speaking in an interview with ABC News Radio about receiving the phone call and directly hearing West's apology, Swift said, "He did call me." Then, she explained further, "He was very sincere in his apology, and I accepted his apology."

Asked whether or not their friendship will be fine after the incident, the 19-year-old beauty simply answered, "Yeah, definitely." In the same interview with ABC News Radio, Swift also mentioned that support from her peers in music industry and fans has made her capable of accepting West's apology.

During 26th Annual MTV Video Music Awards, Kanye West suddenly jumped on stage and interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance speech for her Best Female Video award. At that time, the rapper stated that actually deserved the gong.

Soon after the incident, West has, through his blog, apologized to Swift twice for his outburst at the event. Then, he apologized for the third time during his appearance on "The Jay Leno Show" on Monday night, September 14.

As for Swift, on September 15, she made an appearance on ABC's "The View". At that time, she, who hasn't received personal apology from West, stated that she would be open if he wanted to meet her to talk about the incident. "I mean, he has not personally reached out to me or anything. But if he wanted to say 'Hi,' [sure]," the country music singer revealed.
