Lady GaGa, Beyonce Knowles, and Green Day lead the pack of 2009 MTV Video Music Awards winners, receiving three prizes each.
The complete winners of 2009 MTV Video Music Awards have been announced. Beside grabbing Best New Artist prize for the music video of her single "Poker Face", singing sensation
Lady GaGa took home awards for Best Art Direction and Best Special Effects categories for "Paparazzi" music video.
Also getting three gongs at the annual awards show were R&B songstress
Beyonce Knowles and pop punk band
Green Day. The 28-year-old beauty was honored to receive awards for Video of the Year, Best Choreography, and Best Editing categories for her single entitled "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)", which comes from her 2008 studio album "I Am...Sasha Fierce". Green Day, in the meantime, grabbed Best Rock Video, Best Cinematography, and Best Direction awards for "21 Guns" music video.
Additionally,
Eminem received one prize at the show, being awarded for the music video of "We Made You". Meanwhile, "Live Your Live",
T.I.'s single which features
Rihanna, won Best Male Video prize.
26th annual MTV Video Music Awards was held at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on Sunday night, September 13. Famous comedian
Russell Brand once again served as the host of the event, which was broadcast live on MTV at 9:00 P.M. ET.
