Michael Jackson's Tribute Concert Won't Be Held in 2009
's tribute concert, which is organized by his brother Jermaine Jackson, has been rescheduled. Initially planned to be held in Vienna, Austria on Saturday, September 26, the show is postponed until next year and will be moved to London. "We decided, after careful consideration, to change the date of the tribute concert to June 2010 - just a few weeks before the first anniversary of his untimely death," Jermaine said in a statement.

Explaining about the reason for the delay, Jermaine claimed, "Numerous stars were just not able to change their schedules to make a live appearance at the Vienna event possible." He further detailed, "Many artists and performers who I have spoken to personally told me that it would be a great honor to be part of this memorial concert for my late brother. However, due to the short time-frame it was not possible for many of them to change their schedule so that they could be on stage in Vienna on 26 September."

Asked about the venue for the concert, spokeswoman for the event Nina Elland told BBC NEWS that the show's organizers, World Tribute Productions, are currently discussing it and need time before announcing the exact place. "We need time to confirm the location. We are definitely moving to London and Wembley Stadium is our favourite location," she stated. Meanwhile, those who have bought the ticket concerts will receive refund.

On Tuesday, September 8, Jermaine Jackson revealed that some top-notch performers, such as , , and , would take the stage at Michael Jackson's tribute concert at 17th-century palace of Schonbrunn in Austria on September 26. However, representatives for each singer later said that none of the three musicians would sing at the show.
