Anna Paquin has explained how her character Sookie Stackhouse in 'True Blood' series is sexually involved with Alexander Skarsgard's Eric Northman, arguing it happens after she has drunk his blood.
Anna Paquin has talked about her sex scene with
Alexander Skarsgard in "True Blood". In an panel for the TV series in Los Angeles, the actress explained how her character Sookie Stackhouse is sexually involved with another vampire, Alexander's Eric Northman, beside her lover
Stephen Moyer's Bill Compton.
"She drank his [Eric's] blood, so now she has really vivid sexual fantasies about him. I guess that's how it works," Anna elaborated. She then reminded how similar thing happens after Sookie drank Bill's blood, saying "Because in season one after she drinks Bill's blood, she has a moment outside of his house... She's kind of sitting there by herself having a little touch and feel."
During the interview, Anna who just got engaged to her co-star and real lover Stephen, admitted that she is more comfortable being naked than crying in front of camera. "To me, I feel more naked doing a really emotional scene than being naked in front of a bunch of people, because that's really me," she claimed.
"True Blood" is a drama series based on Charlaine Harris' "The Southern Vampire Mysteries" series of novels. It centers on Sookie Stackhouse who falls in love with vampire Bill Compton. The first season premiered on HBO on September 7, 2008 and it has been run until the tenth episode of second season.
