Scarlett Johansson Says Black Widow Has Big Part on 'The Avengers'

On "Iron Man 2", Scarlett Johansson portrays Black Widow. Recently, the 24-year-old beauty told Ireland On-Line the character will have a significant part on superhero movie "The Avengers", which is scheduled to be released in U.S. theaters on May 4, 2012.

"I hope I get to come back and do it again," Scarlett said of her willingness to take part on the film. "The character certainly comes back. We see that she does in the comics and certainly she is a big part of 'The Avengers'. I don't know if that is where it's going to go but she is definitely a big part of 'The Avengers.'"

"She has many different incarnations and different storylines so I'm hoping she will be able to continue in that way. I'm hoping that if the fans like the character and support the character, we'll see her again," the movie star continued. If Scarlett becomes one of the cast members for "The Avengers", she will reunite with Robert Downey Jr., Don Cheadle, and Samuel L. Jackson, her co-stars on "Iron Man 2".
