More than a month after Michael Jackson was announced dead, the late superstar reportedly has got his final resting place. According to a source, the Jacksons have agreed to bury the singer at Forest Lawn cemetery in the Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles. The source additionally told that Michael's family has signed papers that clear the way for the late singer to be buried at the public cemetery.
Previously, several news emerged regarding Michael's burial place. While his memorial service was successfully held at Staples Center in Los Angeles on July 7, the family allegedly still debated about his final resting place. At that time, Michael's brother Jermaine Jackson was said uttering an idea to bury the King of Pop at his luxurious Neverland ranch. However, local laws do not allow such private property to be used as final resting place.
Although it was still possible to cremate Michael's body and then spread the ashes over the ranch, his mother Katherine Jackson insisted she did not want Michael's ashes or body to be anywhere near Neverland. "Michael left Neverland for good, never to return. He felt violated by law enforcement after his molestation trial. He felt this place he had built had been tainted," a source previously told Radar Online. "Katherine continues to be her son's protector even after his death."
