Public may never find out what really killed Michael Jackson. The rumors emerged following series of delays for the release of the superstar's autopsy results. Los Angeles County Coroner's Office initially announced the complete results of Michael's autopsy would be released on July 17 or earlier the following week.
Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter later claimed autopsy reports were taking longer than expected and would not be released on the scheduled date. On Friday, July 24, he told Access Hollywood that toxicology reports from Michael's autopsy were expected to be made public the following week as few reports were being finalized and had yet to be signed.
Again, on July 29, Ed stated the results of Michael's autopsy would not likely be outed until next week, claiming his office was still trying to gather evidence. However, following a meeting between officials from the coroner's office, the L.A. District Attorney's Office and the L.A. Police Department, Ed said he could not mention when the cause of the late performer's death would be announced.
The indefinite delay came as court records indicated that investigators were looking for evidence of communications between Michael's personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, and other doctor authorities. Though Conrad has not been named as a suspect in the case, on Wednesday, July 29, an unnamed law enforcement official told CNN that the doctor, who is believed to have injected the late singer with the dose of propofol that ultimately killed him, has become the central focus of the federal investigation into the singer's death.
