"This year I can't wait to blow the roof off Radio City in New York," says Pink when expressing her excitement to perform a tune from her 2008 studio album "Funhouse" at 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. "Last year I got to jump out of a window at the VMAs in L.A.," the pop/rock songstress recalls.
Beside Pink, Green Day is scheduled to rock the stage, singing several songs from their latest album "21st Century Breakdown". "We are excited to be performing at the Video Music Awards," the band's frontman Billie Joe Armstrong tells MTV. "You never know what's going to happen, and it's always a memorable experience for us."
Earlier today, Chace Crawford, Katy Perry, and Ne-Yo were announced as some of the presenters at the annual awards show. Russell Brand has been appointed to host the event, which will be broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City on September 13.
