Ashley Tisdale and BFF Vanessa Hudgens Growing Apart

Ashley Tisdale and her "High School Musical" co-star Vanessa Hudgens are seldom being spotted hanging out together again. Sources claim the BFFs are currently growing apart because of music video director Scott Speer, Ashley's boyfriend of three months, who begins "micromanaging" her career and image.

"Ashley and Vanessa barely hang out anymore and it's because Ashley is totally consumed with Scott. He's taken on the role of unofficial career adviser and thinks Ashley needs to change things up and ditch her good-girl style. He doesn't want Ashley hanging out with her HSM costars as much," a source tells National Enquirer. "Vanessa has been nothing but supportive of Ashley and her career, but now that things are taking off for her, Vanessa's been left sitting on the sidelines."

20-year-old Vanessa actually has tried to rebuild her friendship with Ashley by inviting her to come to a recent "girls-only" vacation to Hawaii. However, the "It's Alright, It's OK" hitmaker opted to go to the island being accompanied by Scott.

"Ashley is pinning her career hopes on Scott's plan," the source tells National Enquirer. "Unfortunately, the 'new and improved' Ashley doesn't have much room left in her life for close friends like Vanessa."
