'Gossip Girl' Producers Ask Hillary Duff to Reduce Weight

Announced to join the cast of "Gossip Girl" as a guest star, Hilary Duff has to deal with new problem. It was reported that producers of the CW TV series are not keen on the size of "The Lizzie McGuire Movie" star. Thus, the actress has been asked to reduce a few pounds.

The show's bosses reportedly concerned that Hilary's current shape is not slim enough to "fit in" with two female stars of the drama series Blake Lively and Leighton Meester's skinny bodies. Following the rumors that she has been asked to lose her weight, the former Disney star allegedly has been less confident as a source said, "Hilary is fuming. She's feeling insecure...."

Hilary Duff will make her guest star appearance in third season of "Gossip Girl" for its fourth episode, which is scheduled to be aired on October 5. She is slated to star as Olivia Burke, a famous film star in search of the normal college experience at New York University.
