Rumors of Janet Jackson splitting from her longtime lover Jermaine Dupri emerge after the record producer/rapper skipped Michael Jackson's memorial service.

Michael Jackson, reportedly has decided to end her romance with boyfriend Jermaine Dupri. The rumors spark as the 36-year-old record producer/rapper didn't attend the late King of Pop's memorial service, which was held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Tuesday, July 7.
"His friends are telling people it's over. They have been moving in different directions for a while," a source tells Us Magazine in its newest edition. Additionally, a mutual friend reveals the reason why the pair finally calls off their relationship after going on a date for nearly seven years.
"You shouldn't mix business with pleasure. Janet felt their lives were too crossed and they should have kept things separate," the pal tells . "Jermaine likes to be out there, mingling with everybody, and Janet's more shy."
In related news, Janet Jackson reportedly still feels totally devastated due to the loss of Michael Jackson, who passed away on June 25. "She's devastated. She's busy caring for Michael's kids. Janet's the family's backbone," an insider says.
