Joan Jett Makes Kristen Stewart Cry on 'The Runaways' Set

Rumor has it, rocker Joan Jett made Kristen Stewart burst into tears on the set of "The Runaways" last week. New York Daily News reports that Jett gave the 19-year-old star "a hard time" when she tried to improve Stewart's acts.

"Joan just wants Kristen to play an authentic version of herself, so she needled her a little bit too much. But she apologized when she realized how upset Kristen got," an insider says. Fortunately, there were no hard feelings between the twosome. "They're like mother and daughter now," the insider adds.

Kristen Stewart stars as Joan Jett on biopic film "The Runaways". Dakota Fanning, Scout Taylor-Compton, Alessandra Torresani, and Stella Maeve join her on the movie, which is scheduled to hit U.S. theaters in 2010.

Recently, Stewart was photographed falling down when filming a jump scene for the flick. An on-set crew member of the movie soon rushed into her side as she didn't get up on her feet for a few moments.
