Madonna Says She 'Can't Stop Crying' Over Michael Jackson's Death
King of Pop passed away in Los Angeles on Thursday afternoon, June 25. Hearing the shocking news, superstar expresses her sadness.

"I can't stop crying over the sad news," the 50-year-old songstress tells People. "I have always admired Michael Jackson. The world has lost one of the greats, but his music will live on forever! My heart goes out to his three children and other members of his family. God bless."

Beside Madonna, , 50-year-old Jackson's estranged wife states, "I am so very sad and confused with every emotion possible." Then, she continues, "I am heartbroken for his children, who I know were everything to him, and for his family. This is such a massive loss on so many levels, words fail me."

In addition, Neil Portnow, president of the Recording Awards which honored 13 Grammys for Jackson says in a statement to People, "Rarely has the world received a gift with the magnitude of artistry, talent, and vision as Michael Jackson." He adds, "He was a true musical icon."

Michael Jackson experienced cardiac arrest at his Holmby Hills home in Los Angeles on Thursday, June 25. A 911 call, according to TMZ, was placed shortly before 12:30 P.M. At that time, paramedics were unable to revive the singer so he was then rushed to UCLA Medical Center while in a deep coma before passing away. He was officially pronounced dead at 2:26 P.M. and an autopsy is set for Friday, June 26.
