Robert Pattinson Honored as Heat Magazine's Sexiest Man in the Planet

Robert Pattinson is voted the sexiest man in the planet by readers of Britain's Heat Magazine, which was on newsstands on Tuesday, June 23. The 23-year-old heartthrob beats several Hollywood stars, including Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt, and Zac Efron.

"Robert is obviously very easy on the eye," the magazine's editor, Julian Linley, says. "But a lot of his popularity has to be down to the character Edward he plays in 'Twilight' - strong, brooding and tortured, basically most women's fantasy boyfriend."

Recently, Robert Pattinson revealed that he didn't feel like a heartthrob even though he had many female fans, saying "I'm not really afraid of it though because I don't really know how to play up that aspect of it." He then added, "I don't know if I could ever really be cast in a heartthrob role really - apart from 'Twilight', which I didn't really know was a heartthrob role. I really don't feel I am one."

Pattinson is famous for his role as vampire Edward Cullen on "Twilight" and "The Twilight Saga's New Moon". Beside starring on the vampire drama flicks, he has also worked on "Little Ashes" and "How to Be". Pattinson currently involves in the production of several movies, including "Remember Me", "Unbound Captives", and "Bel Ami".
