Confirmed, Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo Have Called It Quits

Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo have ended their romance. Representatives for each of them have confirmed the news to People. "They have amicably split but remain good friends who still greatly care for one another," rep of the former MTV VJ stated.

A source said that Nick and Vanessa are "still friends" although they have split. "It was the right thing for both of them to do," the insider added.

Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo began dating in 2006 following the singer's split from his wife Jessica Simpson. Nick and Vanessa's relationship has been reported on the rocks in the last several months. Most recently, the Philippines born model has stated her intention to get married with Nick soon and hinted that her wedding ring will be 10 carats.
