David Carradine's family always thought that he did not commit suicide. The result of autopsy conducted in California by the chief forensic pathologist for the New York State Police has proven that the family's belief is right. Forensics expert, Dr. Michael Baden, hired by the actor's family to carry out the autopsy, said in a statement released on Thursday, June 11, "The autopsy findings and the evidence thus far available demonstrate that Mr. Carradine's death was not the result of suicide."
Though he already concluded David didn't kill himself, Michael insisted that it should wait for the autopsy result in Thailand to know the exact cause of death. "However, to reach a final determination as to the cause and the manner of death we must wait for further information from Thailand as to the scene findings and the completion of the crime laboratory and toxicology studies that are still being performed," Michael claimed.
In the statement addressed to , David's brother, Keith Carradine, thanked David's fans who have given their support during this difficult time. "This is a devastating loss for our family, and we greatly appreciate the compassion pouring in from all over the world," he stated.
Previously, an autopsy has been conducted by Thai police on David's death body. However, the result will not be released within one or two weeks from now according to standards given that the death was under "unusual circumstances".
