Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jamie Kennedy have denied the rumors that they were about to get engaged after the two were spotted jewelry shopping together.
and boyfriend, Jamie Kennedy, were recently reported to get engaged after the two were allegedly seen shopping for engagement ring. However, in an interview with Johnjay and Rich on KIIS FM Tuesday morning, June 2, the couple slammed the rumors which first appeared last week.
"A rumor has come out that Jamie and I supposedly got engaged. The poor guy was on fire," Jennifer explained about their engagement issue. She continued, "He was like, 'No, no, no. That's not true!'" The "Ghost Whisperer" star further added, "I was like, 'God, would that be the worst thing in the world?! Excuse me, but just for a second, there's a line of people who would probably be OK with that.'"
Jamie, then, defended that he didn't mean to upset his girlfriend, saying "The thing is, people asked me, 'Are you engaged?' And I just said, 'No, not that the moment, I'd be a very lucky man. And she got mad at me!" Previously, in an interview with the Calgary Herald, the actor has denied the engagement issue, stating "That's a rumor right now, it's not true."
When Jamie asked Jennifer about proposal timeline, the actress replied, "A timeline? By this time next year, if we're not planning something, then there's a situation."
