The 'American Idol' runner-up, Adam Lambert, would love to perform with Queen anytime as the lead singer but also wants to work on his solo album.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Queen's guitarist, Brian May expressed his interest on
Adam Lambert to be the new lead singer of the band. Now, Adam has responded on Brian's statement, saying that he would really love to be a part of the legendary band but he also has another career priority, making his solo album.
"That's a tough question because, honestly, how do you say no to being in Queen?" the "American Idol" runner-up said when asked about the chance of him joining the band. "I mean, that's unbelievable. But at the same time, I do have my own thing to do right now, and that's my goal."
Adam opened up the possibility to perform with the band as long as he is also able to work on his album. "So if I could, I would try to do both. That's the honest question. I would try to do both. I would love to perform with them anytime they wanted me to but I also have my record to do. So, we'll see," he said.
Previously, Brian May, admitted that he would love to work with Adam. He even praised Adam's vocal, saying "That is one amazing instrument he has there."
