Robert Pattinson has auctioned off his kisses when he attended the amfAR's Cinema Against AIDS 2009 benefit at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France on Thursday afternoon, May 21. He reportedly got $55,000 for kissing two girls at the event.
The auction was actually initiated by movie mogul Harvey Weinstein. Reaching the stage, he first told the guests, who came to the event, that his daughters changed their last names to Pattinson, shortly after watching "Twilight".
"Harvey then suggested auctioning off an opportunity for someone's daughter to meet and get a kiss on the cheek from Pattinson. There were two bidders who paid 20,000 euros each for their daughters to have that kiss," a source told E! Online. Then, another source added, "Harvey put him on the spot, in a playful way. And Rob agreed to it in his usual brooding, modest way."
Robert Pattinson was invited as one of the guests at the amfAR's Cinema Against AIDS 2009 benefit. He came to the venue wearing a black shawl collar tuxedo matched with a white shirt, a black tie, and shoes by Dolce&Gabbana.
