NBC Agrees to Renew 'Chuck' for 3rd Season
After some speculations, it has been reported that NBC has agreed to bring 'Chuck' back on this fall with some budget concessions.
"Chuck" is announced to be renewed for the third season. After the fans pushing NBC very hard for a pickup by launching a "Save Chuck" campaign that included buying sandwiches at series sponsor Subway, NBC has finalized a deal to bring the series back on this fall.

However, the 13-episode pickup came after Warner Bros agreed to make significant budget concessions. Entertainment Weekly has reported that the show, which is a Josh Schwartz's well-liked action-comedy, will have to let go a couple of writers. The cut-off budget will also cause some actors who were series regulars in Season 2 to only be recurring guest stars in Season 3 and possible elimination of one actor altogether.

"Chuck", which is starring , shows a steady rating this season although dropped slightly in the spring. It is ranked at No. 78 with 6.5 million viewers in average for this season, not far behind "30 Rock" (6.7 million).
