Robert Pattinson and his "Twilight" co-star Kristen Stewart are two of the nominees of 18th annual MTV Movie Awards. The British actor is honored as one of the nominees for Breakthrough Performance Male. His co-star Taylor Lautner is also nominated for the category. Meanwhile, Kristen secures a spot among Best Female Performance nominees.
The stars' vampire drama movie "Twilight" is nominated for Best Movie. Joining the flick in the category are "The Dark Knight", "High School Musical 3: Senior Year", and "Iron Man".
Oscar-winning movie "Slumdog Millionaire", in the meantime, garners six nominations, including Best Movie, Breakthrough Performance Female for Freida Pinto, and Breakthrough Performance Male for Dev Patel.
2009 MTV Movie Awards will be held at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California on Sunday, May 31 at 9 P.M. ET.
