Miley Cyrus Saves Chickens, Receives PETA's Compassionate Citizens Award

reportedly took home a chicken, which is used as property on the set of her new flick "". She then brought several other chickens to her house, claiming that "they were sad to be working", when making references to the chickens.

For her good deed, the 16-year-old actress/singer received a Compassionate Citizen Award from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). She got a "framed certificate and a card signed by PETA staffers". "Miley's heart is as big as her smile," Dan Shannon, PETA's assistant director of Youth Outreach and Campaigns, said. "We hope that her act of compassion will inspire her fans to be kind to animals too."

This isn't the first time Miley has saved animals. Last year, the Disney star found a lost dog in her neighborhood. She decided to save and feed the dog until it was taken back by its owner.

In related news, Miley Cyrus recently was insulted by in his radio show due to her attitude toward at the 2009 Grammys. At that time, she wanted to meet Radiohead, but the band refused to meet her. Therefore, she got angry and threatened to ruin the band's career.
