Geri Halliwell has decided to take a year break from dating any man so that she can recover from her sadness due to her split from Italian millionaire fiance Fabrizio Politi. "Even though she initiated it, Geri is gutted over her break-up with Fabrizio," Geri's friend told Heat magazine. "She feels like a failure in the romance department, so she says she's going to take a year off from dating."
Two weeks after calling off her engagement to Fabrizio, Geri was said doing a self correction and trying to overcome her phobia of commitment. "She's going to do some serious self-examination and figure out the root of her commitment issues. She is prepared to go a full year without a man in her life," her friend added.
Geri Halliwel met Fabrizio Politi in a nightclub last December and they got engaged in Italy over Christmas. Unfortunately, the couple ended their engagement earlier this month after Geri, according to a source, "woke up one morning last week and decided she just wasn't the marrying type". The source then mentioned that the 36-year-old singer just wanted to be with her 2-year-old daughter, Bluebell whom she has from her previous relationship with screenwriter Sacha Gervasi. "She loved being in a relationship but decided that all she needs is her daughter Bluebell to keep her happy," the source said.
Geri was lately spotted going out from Raffles nightclub in London on March 19 with a man, whose name is Henry Beckwith. It was also reported that she has taken Henry to a luxurious Scott's fish restaurant in Mayfair along with her sister Natalie.
