Ashanti Sports New Hairdo, Not Ready for Engagement

Ashanti looks different but cute with her new bangs. The 28-year-old singer shows off her new haircut while posing for photographers outside Gemma restaurant in the Bowery on Thursday night, February 12.

Meanwhile, Ashanti, who has been dating singer Nelly for more than five years, wasn't ready to take their relationship to the next level. The "Body on Me" songstress admitted at the Island Def Jam Grammy after party that she wasn't ready for an engagement to her beau, saying, "Not yet."

Her mom, Tina Douglas, also told In Touch that she isn't keen on the couple getting married anytime soon. When asked about her daughter's potential engagement, Tina responded, "I'm not ready for that!"
