Salma Hayek has her own way to show her generosity. During a recent visit to the West African country of Sierra Leone with ABC's Nightline, the 42-year-old actress breastfed a hungry African baby boy.
"I actually think that my baby would be very proud to be able to share her milk, and when she grows up, I'm going to make sure she continues to be caring, generous person," Salma said. The actress made the decision to breastfeed the baby because the newborn coincidentally shares a birthday with her little daughter, Valentina.
Salma recently also revealed on the Today Show how she breastfed the African child, explaining, "It is the best thing you can do for your child, not only the bonding, that's how you build the immune system, so in a country like Africa imagine how important it is for the mothers to do that." She continued, "There is the belief that if you are breastfeeding you cannot have a sexual life, so the husbands of these women are really encouraging them to stop and this is just a taboo."
