Brad Pitt graces the cover of the latest issue of W magazine. The 45-year-old actor says in the February 2009 issue of the mag that his longtime partner Angelina Jolie is not a homewrecker.
The star of "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" insists the public have misinterpreted his "affair" with Angelina. "What people don't understand is that we filmed [Mr. & Mrs. Smith] for a year. We were still filming after Jen [Aniston] and I split up. Even then it doesn't mean that there was some kind of dastardly affair. There wasn't," he tells W. " I'm very proud of the way that it was handled. It was respectful. [The film] will mean something to our kids. It will, that's all."
Brad also talks about his former wife Jennifer Aniston's comment about Angelina's confession that she and Brad fell in love on the set of "Mr and Mrs Smith". "Listen, man, Jen is a sweetheart. I think she got dragged into that one, and then there's a second round to all of that Angie versus Jen. It's so created," he says.
When asked about his current relationship with Jennifer, the actor reveals he and the 39-year-old actress "still check in with each other." Brad adds to W, "She was a big part of my life, and me hers. I don't see how there cannot be [that]. That's life, man. That's life."
Furthermore, the father-of-six admits that family life has changed him. He tells the magazine, which will hit stands on January 20, "I quit smoking. That was the only thing that got me to quit. That was it. Done."
