Since Paris Hilton was a child, she knew she was destined to be famous because her grandmother compared her to Marilyn Monroe. The actress of "The Hottie and the Nottie" has proved she is as famous as Monroe.
Hilton recalls the time she was child, saying, "I was the oldest granddaughter. Everyone was so excited that I was born, they would always take pictures of me." Furthermore, she states, "My grandma would call me Marilyn Monroe or Grace Kelly. Ever since I was little, it's what I knew I wanted to do-be a blonde icon."
Aside from her grandmother calling her 'Marilyn Monroe', Paris Hilton herself has ambition to imitate Monroe. At the L.A. premiere of her film "The Hottie and the Nottie", Hilton wore a gown inspired by the blonde's iconic outfit from the 1953 movie "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes". In 2006, she said, "There's nobody in the world like me. I think every decade has an iconic blonde-like Marilyn Monroe or Princess Diana-and right now, I'm that icon."
