Hilary Duff 'Absolutely' Didn't Say She Was a Virgin

Hilary Duff has hit back at reports that she told journalists she's still a virgin at the age of 19. The now 21-year-old actress, who is dating hockey ace Mike Comrie, insisted she was misquoted.

In a 2006 interview with Elle magazine, Hilary touted her squeaky-clean image, insisting she hadn't yet had sex. But now the former Disney star tells Maxim magazine that she never claimed to be a virgin.

"You know what? I was quoted saying I was a virgin, but I absolutely did not say that," the "Material Girls" starlet reveals in the January 2009 issue of Maxim. "That's nobody's business but my own. Somehow it turned into a bad thing!"

"I've been accused by the press of giving lap dances at clubs. I mean, little ol' me? It's shocking," Hilary adds to the mag. "People love to believe it - it's way more exciting to talk about than the truth! And they're so descriptive about these lap dances. I don't even know how to do a lap dance!"
