Oprah Winfrey Longs For Her Previous Slimmer Figure
Realizing that she is not as slimmer as before, claims, "I'm mad at myself" since she has "fallen off the wagon." Turning out to be 200 lbs, the media mogul, 54, states in the January issue of her O magazine, "I'm embarrassed...I can't believe that after all these years, all the things I know how to do, I'm still talking about my weight. I look at my thinner self and think, 'How did I let this happen again?'"

For her rounder figure, the "The Oprah Winfrey Show" host mentions her thyroid was out-of-balance, which gave her "a fear of working out". Of that matter, she explains, "I was so frustrated I started eating whatever I wanted-and that's never good." The TV star also gives comment about her condition, "I felt like a fat cow," recalling the occasion when she went to a Las Vegas show taping with Cher and Tina Turner. She continues revealing, "I wanted to disappear."

Oprah Winfrey puts her weight as the topic on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" which will be titled "Best Life Week" on January 5. She is scheduled to discuss her weight on same day on her XM satellite radio station's "The Gayle King Show". She intends to do the same with other late-night TV programs. Furthermore, Winfrey will also host interactive live web casts at Oprah.com the week of January 12 to 16, nightly at 9 P.M. ET.

Winfrey announced her slimmer figure on her show in 1988 by dragging a wagon loaded with fat to represent the 67 pounds she had removed and wore a pair of size 10 Calvin Klein jeans. She told People in 1991 about her slimmer look, "My greatest failure was in believing that the weight issue was just about the weight," because "It's about not handling stress properly." However, in 2005, she gave reason of her slim body, saying "I had literally starved myself for four months [on a liquid-protein diet]-not a morsel of food."
