Nicole Richie 'Seriously' Wants to Adopt Orphan Child
Nicole Richie apparently wants to follow in the footsteps of Angelina Jolie and her partner Brad Pitt as she has been reported to have been planning to adopt an orphan child. According to a source who spoke to Star magazine, the actress is "seriously looking into it and asking a lot of questions about adopting."

Nicole reportedly was inspired to adopt an underprivileged orphan after working with a number of low-income families through her charity organization Richie Madden Foundation. The source told the magazine that Nicole often comes to another charity organization called Beyond Shelter in Los Angeles, stating, "Nicole has been visiting Beyond Shelter in L.A. two or three times a week."

Having been spending much time in Beyond Shelter, Nicole always "spends a couple of hours with homeless children." The source told the magazine, "she loves being around them."

The source believed Nicole would try hardly to convince her partner Joel Madden to adopt an orphan child because he might be disagree to the idea. "I don't know how keen her boyfriend is on the idea. Still Nicole is determined," the source went on telling the publication.

Nicole and Joel have been dating since December 2006. The twosome has a daughter named Harlow Winter Kate Madden who was born on January 11, 2008.
