LL Cool J has released the official music video for his fourth single titled "Mr. President," touching issues on the upcoming U.S. presidential election in it.
LL Cool J has officially premiered the latest music video for his single "Mr. President," in which he sings with
Wyclef Jean. In the video, he presents some political issues in the U.S., leading up to the presidential election which will be held in November this year.
In the "Mr. President" music video, LL Cool J presents many troubles that have existed since George W. Bush becomes the U.S. president. He criticizes Bush's decision to start a war with the Middle East, revealing "Stop the Invasion." Through the video, he reveals his disagreement to the invasion, showing that many soldiers and their family have suffered.
Besides Bush, LL Cool J's video also features the pictures of Hillary Clinton, Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, as well as Republican candidates John McCain and Sarah Palin. In the end of the video, the singer insists fans that "now it's time" to vote on "November 4th."
"Mr. President" is the fourth single and the 14th track from Cool J's 13th studio album titled "Exit 13" which was released on September 9, 2008. The video was directed by Cool J himself and Ron Lakis. Before releasing this single, the rapper has released "Rocking with the G.O.A.T.," in June, "Baby," the next month, and "Feel My Heart Beat," in August 2008.
