Amy Winehouse has reportedly turned to Buddhism to help her battle her drug and alcohol addictions.
Troubled singer
Amy Winehouse is apparently desperate to battle her addictions. The 24-year-old has reportedly tried another way to beat her drug and alcohol addictions, turning to Buddhism.
According to The Sun, Amy is now said to be using calming Buddhist chants to beat her addictions. Reportedly, it can help her to get relaxation and battle stress. "One of her musicians introduced Amy to Buddhist chanting. She chants for ten minutes in the morning and just before she sleeps," a source told the publication.
The source then added, telling The Sun, "Amy has also been watching the interview clip of Tina Turner on YouTube and she reckons it's already affecting her in a positive way." Tina herself turned to Buddhism after splitting from her rocker hubby Ike Turner back in 1975.
Since 2007, Amy has faced a string of health issues. In July 2008, the "Rehab" singer was rushed to hospital after she collapsed at her London home. She's also diagnosed with traces of deadly lung disease emphysema.
