Comedian Adam Sandler stated that his opening scene on his latest movie "You Don't Mess with the Zohan" is going to be the next big thing that the media try to boast. In that scene, his role Zohan is seen cooking barbecue without wearing any clothes.
Off screen, Sandler acknowledged that he often cooks in the nude too. Sharing the experience, the star stated to London radio station Heart 106.2, "I used to do it alone but, when I realized it was something I was really good at, I started doing it in front of even more and more people at block parties and stuff." However, he added that cooking in the nude can be a bit of painful hobby because the flame could burn him in several spots. "A flame or two has burned me in several spots, one more than the others. But I already had a few marks on that thing so it was all right," so he openly revealed.
Relating the hobby with his celebrity status, Sandler said that any other thing he does can as well ignite some 'flame' that can make people perceive him in negative ways. He thinks the critics in the media always tell bad things about him.
Recently, Sandler even blamed the critics because he thought that the negative news they write about him had influenced his box office ratings. "I remember one time this lady came up to me and said 'I'm not going to see your movie but my friend said it was good.' I was like ok why can't you see it again?" continued Sandler, "and she said, 'Oh, I read that it wasn't very good' and I said, What about your friend and she was like, yeah she's not that smart."
However, Sandler admitted that the bad news has already been alright for him. He said, "You know what, I don't even believe half the things they say anymore - they've been writing bad stuff about me for a long time."
