Diabetic Nick Jonas Falls Ill During Concert
It was such unfortunate for ' heartthrob that he fell ill during their concert on Saturday, August 2. Nick, who was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in 2005, felt bad on stage, but luckily it didn't last for a long time.

Ever since he was diagnosed with the disease, Nick has had to control his blood sugar levels regularly, as well as stop for treatment if they fall too low, even if it happens during his performance on stage. The teen sensation and his brothers and are even wired up with microphones to chat with each other during the concert, in order to let them know if only his insulin levels drop and he feels bad.

Interestingly, the brothers have a particular technique to distract crowd of spectators while Nick need to stop for an insulin shot. "I chatted with the audience and kept reading all the signs people were holding up. I was only bad for, like, a minute, but Joe kept talking and talking for, like, five minutes," Nick explained.

Meanwhile, the brothers' father Kevin Sr. recently revealed about Nick's daily battle with diabetes, telling Rolling Stone magazine, "I can't tell you how frustrating it is to hear people belittle diabetes because it's maintainable. They've never had to sit on a bus when a pump didn't work and a second pump didn't work... and a third didn't, and he had to give himself a shot when we're driving down a highway." He went on adding, "Everybody on our team is on full alert, watching every move Nick makes on that stage every single night of his life."
