Video: Eva Mendes Strips Off in Banned Calvin Klein Ad

Calvin Klein ad which features naked Eva Mendes has been banned from airing by U.S. broadcast networks.
Eva Mendes seems to have starred in more nude photographs campaigns than movies, as she stripped off again for Calvin Klein, but this time is for its fragrance Secret Obsession campaign. However, U.S. broadcast networks refuse to air the ad for the company since it features a mostly naked Eva tossing about on a bed.
In the commercial, Eva's nipple becomes visible for about two-tenths of a section, but there's no other private part is exposed. "Between love and madness lies obsession. Love...madness. It's my secret," the beauty, who also appears in print ads for the perfume campaign, whispers seductively in its 30-second TV commercial.
Tom Murry, president and chief operating officer of Calvin Klein Inc. told WWD that the commercial is visible on the company's website. "This development (the ban) is not entirely a surprise for the U.S. market. We believe the commercial is exceptional and hits the mark for Secret Obsession. We will reach our consumers in the U.S. primarily through the Web site, the print campaign and at point of sale. We are anticipating a very successful global launch," Tom said. Calvin Klein seems far from upset about the ban as the ad is posted on their web site with the title, "banned TV commercial."
Moreover, Fabien Baron, the ad's creative director, commented about the ban, "You must be kidding me. This country really needs a new president this country is so messed up. It's such a joke and it's quite upsetting, frankly, how hypocritical this country has become. It's OK for children to see people killed by guns? Spreading a little love right now would be a good idea." As for Eva, she is said to be "not provocative", according to Baron. "She is being a little sexy, but they are not provocative. They are really well done. The spot is really beautiful - I really can't believe this is happening....I don't know what else to say," he added.
