Clay Aiken and UNICEF United to Help Kenyan Children's focus seems to be on the children as he realizes that he is going to be a father. The "American Idol" winner, whose baby with music producer Jaymes Foster is due next month, has just got back from Somalia and Kenya doing his duty as UNICEF ambassador, and written about the trip on the organization's official site.

Big-hearted Clay wrote about how violence during Kenya's election earlier this year left thousands of children homeless and haven't returned to their school. He elaborated that he's united with UNICEF to build a safer Kenya tomorrow and call the children to come back to school.

"Getting children back to school is vital for their protection, and helps build a sense of normalcy in their lives. The re-establishment of schools in the most difficult circumstances is a testament to the commitment of UNICEF and to Kenyans," Clay wrote on the site. The father-to-be went on, "Every child has the right to an education. Education transforms lives and breaks the cycle of poverty that so many children are caught in. And an educated child will make sure his or her own children receive an education too. This is just another one of the many amazing ways UNICEF is helping children today, while also building a safer Kenya tomorrow."
