"Jeepers Creepers" actor Justin Long, who was dumped by "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle " star Drew Barrymore decides to resign from roller derby comedy "Whip It!" which is Drew's feature directorial debut. A source says his decision is based on his disappointment with Drew.
"He couldn't stand working with her and not being with her, he's too upset," an insider said. "She dumped him. She was hot and cold. One minute she was in love with him and the next she wanted to break up with him," added the source. "He is so distraught over the split that he dropped out of the movie."
Chris Miller, a rep for Flower Films which is Barrymore's production company with partner Nancy Juvoven, do not comment about Long's decision in leaving the project, "It's bordering on his personal life," Miller said. "We never comment on cast." Carrie Gordon who is Long's publicist also didn't comment a lot about it.
"Whip It!" will be released in 2009. The film is based on the book "Derby Girl's" which story is about ex-beauty pageant contestant who joined roller derby team. It will start shooting on Monday (July 28) in Michigan. Drew's co-stars are Ellen Page, Juliette Lewis, Marcia Gay Harden, Zoe Bell and Kristen Wiig
