According to New York Daily News, Anne Hathaway keeps getting pulled deeper into the fraud scandal of her ex-boyfriend, Raffaello Follieri. Anne is recently reported to end up getting her diaries snapped up by FBI as potential evidences against the low-life fraud case of her ex-man. According to a source, her personal diaries were confiscated along with other items such as documents, watches, a Tiffany clock, an antique Bible and personal photos of the couple to help building the case.
Anne had been in a relationship with Raffaello since 2004. After the businessman was arrested (June 24) on fraud charges for allegedly fleecing investors out of millions of dollars in a phony scheme involving purchasing Catholic properties in the U.S. for re-development, they then had a split. The break was so severe that some are reportedly wondering whether Anne cooperated with investigators in luring the Italian real estate developer back to the U.S. from Europe so that he could be arrested.
"He was in Europe, working on a deal," says a source. "He didn't have to come back to New York. He knew he was being investigated. But she kept calling him, saying they needed to resolve their future. A few days after his return, he was arrested," adds the source in a further explanation.
For her part, Anne apparently doesn't want to take any chance of threatening her career. In a previous report, a source told Mail Online, "It's heartbreaking for her to dump him, and she's devastated that it's come to this, but she really didn't have a choice. His scandals were hurting her reputation."
