Rumor has it that "Sex and the City" beauty Sarah Jessica Parker's marriage to actor Matthew Broderick is on the rocks. The actor has cheated on her with a 25-year-old counselor, latest reports claim.
It was Star magazine which broke the news, claiming that Matthew allegedly had a secret romance with the unidentified woman around the time Sarah, 43, was filming the Sex and the City movie. The report also insisted the actor enjoyed late-night trysts with the mistress after meeting her in a Manhattan bar in November 2007. He was allegedly seen soon after heading to the woman's apartment, with wine and flowers in hand.
Further, as Matthew and the unnamed woman began continuously texting, he confessed to her that his 11-year marriage to Sarah was "not good". It is also claimed that desperate Sarah bombarded him with texts asking "where are you?" while he was with the mistress.
However, the fling between the actor and the woman only lasted for four months as he ended it in February, fearing that he was lying to her. While the affair has leaked out on the press, Matthew' spokesman Simon Hall refused to either deny or confirm the rumors, saying "There will be no comment."
There have been recent rumors about the couple's break up as Sarah, who has a son James Wilkie with Matthew, has previously spoken candidly about her rocky marriage. She said in April, "I'm really lucky that he is the father of my son, but that doesn't mean that we always agree on everything. We've had some rather treacherous train rides. I'm happy to be with him regardless but I'm sure there are many times he wishes he wasn't with me."
