The unnamed baby was born at 6.22 P.M. local time weighing 7 lb., 4 oz., the rep of the "How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days" actor has confirmed the cheery news.
McConaughey's excitement was actually already shown when he announced Alves' pregnancy in January. On his official website, the actor commented, "We are stoked and wowed by this miracle of creation and this gift from God, and so excited for the adventure that will come in raising this child, being a mother and a father, and sheparding him or her through this life".
The new daddy even told Entertainment Tonight that he has been receiving a parenting advice, "One thing I've heard that's consistent is, whatever plans you make, throw them out the window!".
