Rumor has it that Britney Spears is set to join famous fellow Madonna on her world tour. They are said to have met in New York on Sunday, July 6 to record a video, which will be broadcast on big screens during the upcoming tour.
It is Madonna herself who is said to have asked Britney to appear in person for some of her Sticky and Sweet tour dates and star in a video that will be the backdrop for part of her show. The 49-year-old star did that in an attempt to help the "Toxic" hitmaker resurrect her singing career. The tour is due to kick off on August 23.
A source told The Sun, "They are recording a video together on Sunday that will provide the backdrop for part of Madonna's show. And they are talking about Britney taking the stage on a few of the dates too." Further, the source added, "It's hoped that Madonna can help Britney get back to her old self."
The last time Madonna and Britney were seen at one stage together was at the 2003 MTV Music Awards. At that time they surprised everyone, sharing a lesbian kiss during their performance.
