50 Cent's Long Island Estate Burned to the GroundBad news comes from rapper that his Long Island estate where his former girlfriend, Shaniqua Tompkins, and their son, Marquise, lived in was destroyed by fire on Friday, May 30. The fire caused Shaniqua and Marquise as well as four other people in the house suffered minor injuries.

When the house was burning, 50 cent said he was in Louisiana making a movie. His representative said in a statement, "Informed this morning while filming a new motion picture on location in Louisiana, Curtis Jackson (50 Cent) expressed deep concern over this fire at his property." Moreover the rep continued, "He is extremely thankful that everyone including his son, Marquise, escaped the burning house safely. "

Meanwhile, 50 Cent is awaiting investigation on the house fire. "He is confident that authorities will be conducting a thorough investigation of the incident and is eager to review their findings," the rep added. The mansion, which was located in New York's Dix Hills, has been at the centre of a dispute between the rapper and Shaniqua since last month. It was previously claimed that Shanique and Marquise must leave the mansion by the end of 2008.

Moreover, the dispute between 50 Cent and Shaniqua apparently is getting worse as she has accused him of intentionally burning the house. "I know Curtis Jackson did this. He hasn't even called his son to see how he is. He's a punk. He's starting to believe what the media thinks he is," she told reporters after the fire. However, the rapper's lawyer Brett Kimmel has denied the accusal telling TMZ, "Any suggestion that Mr. Jackson had anything whatsoever to do with the fire at his home is outrageous and offensive."
