This season's 'American Idol' winner David Cook confirms he is dating the second season contestant, Kimberly Caldwell.
David Cook, who won this season's "American Idol", has just confirmed that he is dating the second season contestant, Kimberly Caldwell. During the taping of "Live With Regis and Kelly" show on Monday, May 26, David revealed that he and Kimberly recently went on a date after repeatedly meeting through the Idol show.
When was asked whether he had a wonderful time with Kimberly, David simply said, "I did. We'll probably hang out again. So we'll see." He also said that Kimberly "seems like a really great girl," thus hoped that their relationship "will be a little bit of a long, drawn out process."
Didn't feel shy about his interest in Kimberly, David asked her to go on a date during an interview on the "Idol Tonight" on Wednesday night, May 21. "I'm just excited because I finally get to talk to you. I've been hearing you say all these nice things about me all season, So I'm actually going to ask you to dinner right now." Kimberly then hug him and said, "I just got asked out on a date."
Although he was really that into Kimberly, he admitted he was not familiar enough with her songs. "I knew who she was, but I can't remember a song that she sang. I'm probably in the dog house now," he told Extra.
