Cynthia Nixon Denies Wedding ReportsPrevious reports claimed that lesbian planned to wed her lover Christine Marinoni. However, a denial toward the rumors has come from Cynthia herself, who insisted that the reports were untrue.

In her denial, Cynthia desperately revealed that she couldn't marry Christine although she really wanted to. There will be no wedding, she insisted, as long as gay marriage is forbidden in her native New York. But, Cynthia claimed that she and Christine could have an imaginary marriage.

The "" star told British chat show host Graham Norton, "It's untrue. Cause we can't get married. (But) we could get married for pretend!" Moreover she added, "We live in New York; New York has no same sex marriage. I think one day soon, hopefully, it may (be legal), and then I think we'll consider it."

Reports on Cynthia's wed plan emerged shortly after she confessed to Mirror, "If it becomes legal, I definitely would get married. It's something my girlfriend is interested in too. I think that to get married to her would be a little act of rebellion. It's like if you've never had the vote and then you get it you're going to run out there and vote." Furthermore, instead of feeling guilty, the actress just took her sexual orientation for granted. She said, "I had been with men all my life and I had never met a woman I had fallen in love with before. But when I did, it didn't seem so strange. I don't define myself. I'm just a woman in love with another woman."
